If you experience chronic or occasional low back pain, a yoga practice that supports healing and wellness in the spine is essential. Join Elissa as she brings the focus to supporting and facilitating the healing process in your backside.Explore props and modifications to apply in your regular classes and simple pranayama (breath) techniques to assist in managing pain. Practice gentle yoga postures to build strength, stability, and flexibility to your low back in your yoga practice and daily life.

If you are suffering from an acute injury, speak with your doctor before attending. Appropriate for all levels.

Gain invaluable insight into your own anatomical architecture as you learn techniques that will create mobility and stability in the hip joint, increase range of movement in spinal rotation and improve breath capacity. Through the exploration of pranayama and the practice of yoga nidra or “yogic sleep”, unwind muscular tension and enter into a profound state of relaxation. You will leave feeling refreshed in body, mind and spirit.  No Yoga experience necessary.

This workshop breaks down the principles of  “down regulation” through the exploration of proper breath mechanics, self-massage with the Yoga Tune Up® Therapy Balls, and sedating exercises from yoga, body therapy and meditation. Unwind muscular tension, enter into a profound state of relaxation and master the art of “Blissing Out.”
